Learning outcomes:

On this online course you learn how wounds heal. You also apply the acquired knowledge in monitoring healing wounds.

Contents and methods:

The course consists of the structure and functions of the skin, the physiology of wound healing and the factors affecting it.

Completing the course requires two written evidence-based reports. The first one concerns the theory of wound healing and the factors affecting it. The second report is your assessment of wound healing based on the information studied for the first report.

Assessment: passed/failed

This course is based on the curricula of Xamk's degree programmes and the Finnish credits are fully compatible with the ECTS.
