South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) is donating the money budgeted for Christmas greetings, equaling €1,500, to MIELI Mental Health Finland. By supporting MIELI’s Christmas campaign, we want to support the mental health of children and young people.
The coronavirus situation has been particularly challenging for children and young people, making participation in hobbies and meeting with friends more difficult than normally. With its donation, Xamk wants to support the mental health of future students. The foundations of mental health are created in childhood, and the mental health skills learned while young protect us throughout life and help us face hardships and crises.
