South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences – Xamk – started on 1 January 2017 when Kymenlaakso and Mikkeli Universities of Applied Sciences merged.

At Xamk, learning is unlimited. Our campus is the world – the bases are located in Kotka, Kouvola, Mikkeli and Savonlinna.

South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences is Finland’s third biggest university of applied sciences with approx. 9000 students and 750 employees.

Xamk operates on four campuses located in the southeastern region of Finland: Kotka, Kouvola, Mikkeli and Savonlinna. Xamk offers a broad range of academic programmes at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in the fields of business, health, technology, environment and energy, logistics, maritime technology, forest, culture, tourism, and youth work.

Our international agreements have remained valid as before throughout 2017 for the faculties belonging to the two separate institutions Mamk and Kyamk. All the commitments of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences and Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences have been transferred to South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences. Possible changes in the agreements will be negotiated between the contracting parties.

As a part of the merging process, all our institutional agreements will be revised in 2017. We will contact each partner in the course of 2017 if adjustments and changes need to be made in the existing agreements.
