Admission based on SAT results
For some Bachelor’s degree programmes it is possible to apply with SAT test results instead of taking the entrance exam. The SAT Test, organized by the College Board, is given all over the world on simultaneous test dates.
SAT test requirements at Xamk
The student selection methods are confirmed separately for each application round and degree programme.
In the 2024 spring application, you can apply to the following degree programmes at Xamk with your SAT results:
- Bachelor of Engineering, Environmental Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering, Information Technology
Only the new SAT (taken after March 2016) is accepted. Xamk requires you to take the SAT test which includes the Reading test, Writing and Language test and Math test.
Essay is not required. SAT Subject Tests will not be considered.
A minimum score of 500 from Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and 500 from Mathematics is required for admission at Xamk. Applicants are accepted in the order of best points.
In addition to delivering Xamk your SAT result, you must submit your application form and documents on Studyinfo service during the application period, and meet the eligibility requirement for the studies. See application timetable here.

Applying with the SAT test
Timetable
Your SAT score must be delivered directly from the College Board by 1 April 2024. Admission results are published approximately within a week from the deadline.

Submitting the SAT results
The SAT score must arrive to Xamk Admission Services directly from the College Board. Please fill in the school code 7593 for South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) when you register for SAT. You can order score reports at any time after your test through your online account.
