Learning outcomes:
After completing this course:
- You are able to apply your knowledge of nutrition to support strength and endurance training.
- You are able to apply your knowledge of nutrition when guiding and counseling athletes and people exercising regularly.
Contents and methods:
The content of the course consists of three topics:
- Basic knowledge of nutrition (1 course credit)
- Energy demand and consumption during exercise, energy metabolism (2 course credits)
- Nutrition, fluid balance and recovery to support endurance and strength training (2 course credits
The course is 5 ECTS CR and is carried out online in Learn eLearning environment. The course has learning tasks and three (3) mandatory exams.
The course covers 5 ECTS credits, totalling 135 hoursof student work. The number of hours is theoretical and varies according to student effort.
