Learning outcomes:
After completing this course:

  • You are able to apply your knowledge of nutrition to support strength and endurance training.
  • You are able to apply your knowledge of nutrition when guiding and counseling athletes and people exercising regularly.

Contents and methods:
The content of the course consists of three topics:

  1. Basic knowledge of nutrition (1 course credit)
  2. Energy demand and consumption during exercise, energy metabolism (2 course credits)
  3. Nutrition, fluid balance and recovery to support endurance and strength training (2 course credits

The course is 5 ECTS CR and is carried out online in Learn eLearning environment. The course has learning tasks and three (3) mandatory exams.

The course covers 5 ECTS credits, totalling 135 hoursof student work. The number of hours is theoretical and varies according to student effort.

Study materials, such as documents and links, are available on the eLearning platform. Studying the subjects also requires an active, independent search for information.
