Learning outcomes:
The course is divided into different themes, which are study ability and skills, stress and relaxation, wellbeing in everyday life, such as sleep and recovery, stage fright, thoughts and working with them, and emotions and self-knowledge.
Each theme has a short introduction to its contents. With the help of introduction you will get to know the theme and matters related to it. The different themes are compiled of relevant materials that support your learning. It can be videos, texts, research or exercises. Use these or self-selected sources in your learning.

Contents and methods:
The aim of this course is to promote student’s wellbeing and offer tools to support learning, coping and wellbeing.
After the course
– you recognize your coping and what affects it better
– you have learned different coping mechanisms e.g. for stress
– you recognize the ways and rhythm of studying that suits you better

The course is evaluated on scale pass – fail.
A pass requires all tasks to be completed.

Additional information tor the students:
Online co-operation with students of University of Minnesota Duluth is included in the course.

Certificate of these studies will be delivered 
 – in paper form for those who have their home address in Finland
 – by email in PDF form for those who have their home address in some other country.

This course is based on the curricula of Xamk's degree programmes and the Finnish credits are fully compatible with the ECTS.
