Learning outcomes:

  • You learn to support client’s self-management after stroke during the whole rehabilitation process
  • You learn to enhance client’s problem solving, goal setting, planning and evaluation in task-oriented physiotherapy
  • You learn how to construct environments that are suitable for clients’ independent practice at home

Contents and methods:

This course includes the following themes:

  • Elements of self-management
  • Guidance strategies to enhance self-efficacy
  • Home-based rehabilitation approach

The course is completed in Learn – digital learning platform. The digital learning platform contains online materials, presentations and video examples for the tasks and exams. The course includes online exams and one written task with deadlines.

The course will procced online during autumn 2021.

Study material:

The material is accessible to all students, no matter where they live. In addition, students are able to use Library services (https://kaakkuri.finna.fi/?lng=en-gb) with their Xamk’s IDs.
