We were developing and activating networks in the organic farming sector in South-Eastern Finland!

In the recent years, organic production and consumption have grown steadily in Finland. Demand for organic products is constantly higher than supply.

In our project we wanted to enhance the organic farming, further processing and the consumption of organic products in South-Eastern Finland. Together with the entrepreneurs and experts of the area, we created a development plan for organic production in the area. The development plan highlights the aims and actions for reaching the goals for the year 2030.

South-Eastern Finland is known for solid organic grain production. During the project, the focus group discussed the possibilities to strengthen the know-how and entrepreneurship in organic seed production as well.

The reports and publications of our project are available in Finnish from our website www.xamk.fi/luomulentoon.
