The fishing can affect the state of water systems positively

The fishing decreases in Finland with the ageing of the population. In the drainage areas the warming climate and the revisions of the soil that have been made in the course of the time promote the increase in nutrients in the water systems. The aforementioned factors can direct the development of the ecological state of lake to the undesired direction gradually connected.

The demand for the domestic fish is on the increase and the advanced technology makes the food use of the vital fish populations possible more from many sides than before. The objective of the project is to clarify the area of Kouvola and Iitti for the practising of the fishing which holds preconditions for the inland waters. The most central measures of the project join, for the clarifying of the actors’ ideas and opportunities to cooperate and –for creation of the cooperation network.
