Digital communication is rapidly changing, and companies are constantly facing new challenges. Traditional newspaper and radio marketing has been partially replaced by digital communication and marketing channels, which require not only new skills but also new way of thinking and approaching the field of communications. The goal of the project” VAU” Speed Up Communication with Service Design, is to help companies based in the Savonlinna region to develop their marketing and communication with the help of professionals.
MEASURES AND RESULTS
Companies
Companies will be offered and opportunity to participate in tailor made training process, where they will receive advice and help in creating operational and simple user-oriented model to communicate in multichannel media sphere. Work model will be based on utilising customer-oriented service design and co-development tools, which participants can later use independently. In addition, there will be training sessions open to everyone covering up-to-date topics of marketing and communications.
Savonlinna Region
Project aims to develop and pilot a model for co-operation where customer-oriented actions and effectiveness is in the main priority. Created and tested model would be easily applicable in other regions of Finland.
Educational organisations, students and companies
The goal of co-operation between all parties of this project is to utilise a model, which enables students of Samiedu and Xamk to do real work life communication development projects for the companies. Students will benefit from these authentic tasks meanwhile companies will be supported in creating the content for international and domestic marketing and sales purposes. Co-operation between educational organisations and companies enables permanence and availability of the workforce in the Savonlinna region.
Project is funded by Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of South Savo from the European Social Fund. Participating parties are Savonlinnan Hankekehitys, Samiedu Vocational College, South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, Xamk.
