Entrepreneurship Education Conference 2020

Welcome to 14th Entrepreneurship Education Conference 30 September – 1 October 2020 to Mikkeli! Scientific Association for Entrepreneurship Education organizes Entrepreneurship Education Conference in cooperation with Xamkin Small Business Center and Mikkeli University Consortium, LUT School of Business and Management (Mikkeli unit).

NOTICE. Entrepreneurship Education Conference 2020 is organized in exceptional circumstances and it will effect on the practical arrangements. Safety is extremely important.

Due to the situation the limit of the people allowed to the campus is max 50. To other participants the event will be organized online.

Safety distance is noticed in all the arrangements. If you want to use a mask, take your own with you to the conference. We might offer masks, but own is always the best. Use of the hand sanitizer is enabled in all rooms and situations.

Please do not arrive to the face-to-face event, in case you feel sick. If you are still able to participate online, you can change your way of participation until the very last minute. Changes in the way of participation will be noticed in the final participation fee invoicing after the conference.

TUESDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2020

RESEARCH WORKSHOP

Entrepreneurship Education Association organizes virtual research workshop on Tuesday 29 September at 9:00-15:00.

The research workshop will be led by Professor Ulla Hytti from the University of Turku and it will be implemented online at Zoom.

This year the theme of the research workshop will be research methodology and especially the importance of transparency in the analysis. Participants will receive hints and peer review for their research methodology questions. Participants are asked to deliver methodology paragraph, incl. materials, methods and the discription of the analysis of the article that is in the works. Also include your research question and a short sample of your research results. All together max. 5 pages.

Guidelines for writers

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACTS:

  • Send your abstract via e-mail in a word-format (.doc., .docx or .rtf) to: yktt2020@xamk.fi
  • Title of the e-mail: YKTT2020 and the main title of your abstract
  • Inform in the e-mail the writer / writers of the abstract, the organisation they represent and an e-mail address
  • The max. limit for the main title is 10 words
  • The max. limit for the abstract is 2000 marks
  • Max. of 6 keywords

ABSTRACT SHOULD ANSWER TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

  • What is the meaning of your presentation / research? Why is your research interesting?
  • Presenting the problem: in what research questions are you aiming to answer?
  • Methods and material: what methods and materials are you using in your research?
  • Results: describe your results informatively and concisely

The last day to leave the abstract is 15 June, 2020.
The announcement of the accepted abstracts will be sent by 25 June, 2020.

GUIDELINES FOR THE ARTICLES:

  • The max. length of the article is 20 pages
  • The writer ensures that the layout and spelling follows the given instructions
  • The recommended font is Times New Roman, size 12, in titles size 14 and bold
  • Use spacing 1,5 and leave an empty space between the paragraphs
  • Add the name of the writer / writers, organisation and an e-mail address after the main title
  • In references use the style of APA 6 (American Psychological Association)
  • Do not use hyphenation or special formatting in the text
  • Do not add notices or references in the end of sentences or paragraphs
  • Keep the pictures, diagrams and charts as small as possible
  • The writer is responsible for taking care of copyrights.

You can use the frame presented here:

  • Main title (max. 10 words), writer information after the main title
  • Abstract and key words (usually 4-6 describing key words)
  • Introduction and the aim of the research
  • Main concepts and theoretical framework
  • Methodology, presentation of the material, analysis and the results
  • Reflection
