Great news for all developers out there! Do you want to challenge yourself and expand your limits? We are now welcoming applications for HAMINA AR HACKATHON POWERED BY ULTRAHACK. This hackathon is taking place at Datariina, Kotka between 27.10. – 29.10.2017. HAMINA AR HACKATHON weekend is full of opportunities: boost your skills, challenge yourself, collaborate and of course, have fun!
Join us to create AR demo for Hamina Flag World, new tourist and culture exhibition. Demo can present some cultural, historical and technological aspect of any given nation/country. With HAMINA AR HACKATHON, you can learn about new ways of making AR, show your talent to potential recruiter or win a deal with city of Hamina. The aim of HAMINA AR is to guide the visitor through the Hamina Flag World exhibition while enriching the visitor experience, involving tourists through their journey and improving customer satisfaction.
Who should apply?
Anyone with interest in creating and innovating new AR experiences for users is welcome to apply! The hackathon is open to all, not only coders and developers, but a wide range of skilled and ambitious people such as designers, culture and tourism students or just people with awesome ideas to share!

A hackathon is an extended event (usually 48-ish hours) in which multi-talented contestants collaborate, either alone or in teams, to solve a challenge. The challenge is usually focused on a business, technological or humanistic problem. Supplied with advanced software and technology the teams must competitively try to develop a solution within the allotted timeframe. Teams are coached and mentored by professionals in the field of tech and startup consultation. The hackathon culminates in a pitching round and the winning ’hack’ will be awarded!
