Latest studies in water contamination, ecotoxicology and transport of hazardous substances – new views for environmental risk assessment in Finland and Russia
South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences organized the webinar on the topic of latest studies in water contamination, ecotoxicology and transport of hazardous substances and environmental risk assessment on 13th September 2021.
The webinar was part of the EnviTox project (Environmental impacts of the Krasny Bor toxic waste landfill), implemented under the framework of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme South-East Finland – Russia 2014-2020.
In the EnviTox project, the state of the environment in the area surrounding the Krasny Bor hazardous waste landfill has been regularly studied during the period 2019 – 2021. The purpose of the event was to share risk assessment experiences between Finland and Russia and to give new views for possible further research in the Krasny Bor landfill and the surroundings and in other contaminated areas as well.
The webinar was intended, among others, for authorities, private operators and researchers who carry out environmental risk assessments or monitoring of contaminated areas in their work.
