THE CONCRETE GOALS OF THE PROJECT ARE:
• Engages actors in the fisheries industry in the development of traceability and network-like cooperation
• Produces new information for the production and monitoring of fish traceability information
• Presents alternative methods of operation for the development of the marine catch information report and the utilization of the data.
• Improves the usability and attractiveness of using the Järvikala application
ACTIONS:
WORKSHOP 1: Reporting catch data in the marine area: functionality and implementation options
WORKSHOP 2: Generating and remote monitoring of YKP’s first batch ID
WORKSHOP 3: Improving the usability of the Järvikala application
WORKSHOP 4: Coordination, information and communication
RESULTS:
The result of the project is a graphic sketch of a user-oriented user interface for reporting catches in a marine area, an understanding of the possibility of using mobile solutions in marine areas, and information on the needs and possibilities of remote monitoring. The results of the project increase the understanding of the information needs of the traceability chain and the different options that can be used to generate the first batch of fish. This is brought out with preliminary and visual architecture. In addition, the usability of the Järvikala application will improve.
The target group of the project is the fishermen of the sea area and inland waters, key organizations in the sector, fish processing companies and authorities dealing with catch and traceability information. Indirect target groups are retail and wholesale trade, consumers, fisheries industry developers.
Involving the target group in the project’s measures is of paramount importance. The digital solution must concretely serve the needs of the users and generate added value, so that the later implemented system is adopted on a large scale.
