Alumni activities

Alumni activities mean long lasting cooperation between the university and its students. An alumna will be a part of a large network which can be useful and fun from the professional and free time of view. The alumni activities for South-Eastern Finland UAS are being developed.

You can register as an alumna/alumnus or update your data in the alumni portal. The register is meant for all graduates of Xamk, Kyamk and Mamk.

You can also join a Facebook group . And don’t forget to mention us in you LinkedIn profile!

For more information about alumni activities, you can contact us via alumni@xamk.fi.

All new Xamk graduates will be automatically added to the alumni register. They can be used for example for research purposes as well as alumni communication and marketing. You can read the data protection announcement here.

Library services are also available to alumni

All university libraries in Finland are open libraries, so you are welcome to use the services of our library even after you graduate. On the eve of graduation, it is worth contacting the library and tell us that you would like to continue to be our customer, so that the use of the library can continue without interruptions.

You have access to all printed materials and most of the library’s facilities. You can also use the library during the self-service hours. The use of e-materials (databases, e-books, etc.) is restricted only to Xamk students and staff. Read more about library services on Kaakkuri. Welcome to the library!

Career monitoring survey

We are collecting data on the employment, career paths and competences required in working life from graduates i.e. alumni. Your experiences are important for those applying for education, and for students, who are contemplating on their own study and career opportunities. The data is also utilized to develop the tuition at the universities of applied sciences. The career monitoring survey is nation-wide and it is carried out once a year. The survey is sent to alumni graduated five years ago. Your answers mean a lot to us! Thanks for your help!

You can view the results of the earlier career monitoring surveys in the Education Statistics Finland service Vipunen, and in the Töissä.fi service. The survey is carried out by universities of applied sciences. More information on the survey and the privacy notice are available on the From UAS to career website. The survey is statutory and required by the Ministry for Education and Culture (MINEDU).
