The objective of the project is to improve the employment of the youth. This takes place by developing a method which
utilizes gamified peer helping in order to support 16 to 29 years old young people in their employment. The project will
help the target group to get work during the process. In addition, the developed method will support young people in
longer run to learn skills required for the employment.
The novelty of the project is in its aim to move the attention from supporting individuals in employments to the peer
perspective and mutual help. The tasks related to employment is shared between the peers in the gamified trainings of
job seeking so that the young people can benefit and learn from the model of each other experiences. In the method to
be developed the essential part is gamified stages of job seeking which will help young people to get positive
experiences.
The project includes the interviews of the target group (history of employment); gathering the peer groups in
collaboration with civil society organizations; utilizing social media and digital tools and gamification in the
development of the method; creating a database of gamified stages of job seeking which can be utilized either
individually or in group; testing the method and piloting it in an employment event. Young people can help each other
by the method, and the hypothesis is that helping will support the participant both in employment and socially.
In addition to gamified method of job seeking, which is the result of the project, during the process 15 young people
will be employed.
