Test chambers

2 integrable weathering test chambers; one for indoor climate simulation and the other for outdoor weathering tests. Conditions: -40°C to +80°C / RH 20-95% / UV / rain test.

The weathering chambers can be utilized individually or simultaneously. It is also possible to build for example a wall structure between the chambers. Maximum structure size: 2.4m x 2.4m, a maximum thickness of 0.8m. A pressure difference can be built up between the two chambers, negative pressure max. 100Pa.

On the end wall of the outdoor weathering test chamber, there are 9 light sources simulating UV light and spray nozzles simulating rain fall. UV radiation power density: 1000W/m2 (at a distance of 1000mm).  Spray nozzle performance: 10-100 L/m2h.

Loadframe - structural testing

Testing area (T-slot) 5 m x 15 m. Load Frame dimensions: width 2.5 m, height 3.5 m. Full-scale wall elements, beams, joints and lattice structures can be tested.

Possible tests for Load Frame are static or dynamic loads: 2 x max 500 kN load from above up to 2 Hz (compression or tension) and 1 x max 500 kN from side. Static loads include tension, compression and shear loads. Dynamic loading can be used for simulations, such as vibration in structures.

The equipment enables an almost unlimited number of different wooden and hybrid structures to be tested on an industrial scale and close to actual building component assemblies.
