Xamk is growing fast!

Xamk has more than 9,000 students, and the number of applicants who have listed Xamk as their first choice has increased by over 45% since 2017.

– We must also remember that our students are well employed in our regions. Our share of graduates is more than half of all university graduates, says rector Heikki Saastamoinen.

In terms of individual indicators, Xamk scored the best in Finland with the number of degree programmes and the amount of continuous learning credits offered. Xamk was also number one in obtaining external research and development funding.

-One of our significant successes is the tremendous growth of the Open University of Applied Sciences. The Open UAS credits increased by more than 400 per cent during the period 2016–2020”, Saastamoinen says.

Xamk is still growing and new degree programmes are being launched in Mikkeli, Savonlinna, Kouvola and Kotka this year and next.
