The project is implemented by Digitalia, research center on Digital Information Management. It is a joint research network by South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) and The National Library of Finland.
In DOM project, digital information resources, their users and collaboration partners are linked as a community. The project advances the use of automation and increases efficiency in processing, converting and analyzing digital information, resulting in enhanced opportunities to use information resources overall.
The developed solutions will be widely available and they could be integrated to mass digitization initiatives, as appropriate.
The project actions are organized as three working packages:
- WP1 User-driven information
- WP2 Visualizing information (3D)
- WP3 Archiving social media
The results are of use to archives, libraries, museums, companies operating in the field of digital information management, researchers, teachers, students and citizens.
