Scam letters have been sent in the name of South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk. The letters in English state that the person has received a study place in Xamk’s Post Graduate Diploma Programme. The letter is accompanied by payment information and an invoice, by paying which the student is asked to confirm the receipt of the study place. The payment information directs to an unknown Lithuanian bank account.
The title field of the scam letter is “Notification of the student selection results” and is dated 2 February 2024. In reality, the student admissions for the degree programme in question have already been made in October- November 2023, and future students have already been informed and paid the fee earlier.
Xamk will contact all persons who applied for the Post Graduate Diploma programme in December and have not been selected for studies and inform them about the situation. If you have received an acceptance letter dated 2.2.2024, please contact admissions@xamk.fi
