Learning outcomes:
The goals of the course are to:

  • Gain basic knowledge about brain function.
  • Understand cognitive function and various neuropsychological symptoms.
  • Learn about neuropsychological symptoms assosiated with the most common neurological diseases, for example stroke, multiple schlerosis and Parkinson disease.l
  • Learn about brain health aspects.

Contents and methods:
The course studies the structure and the function of the brain and what cognitive function means. The course also studies neuropsychological symptoms and what neuropschological symptoms are assosiated with the most common neurological diseases. In addition, you will learn how to keep brain healthy and active. The course materials includes presentations, slides and internet material.

The course covers 5 ECTS credits, totalling 135 hours of student work. The number of hours is theoretical and varies according to student effort.
