Mikpolis is a research and testing laboratory located at Xamk’s Mikkeli campus. It supports customers’ RDI activities and expertise in the fields of materials and manufacturing technologies. Our laboratory has extensive know-how in machinery, materials, and manufacturing technologies, built over more than two decades.

Located at Xamk’s Mikkeli campus, the Environmental Safety and Water Technology Research Group specialises in research, development, and innovation (RDI). The group promotes clean water systems, closed nutrient cycles, and helps transform regional water expertise into business opportunities. Applied research supporting environmental safety has been conducted at the Mikkeli campus for over 25 years.
