BIOKIERTOVISIO technology vision for the bio and circular economy in the Kymenlaakso region

The project has been completed.

The Bio- and Circular Economy Technology Vision was developed through collaboration with companies, the use of foresight tools, and insights from industry experts. Based on foresight information gathered from experts interviewed in Finland and across the globe, a vision was created to help guide the future development of the region’s circular economy.

The bio-circular economy technology vision was developed for companies in the Kymenlaakso region to utilize in their strategic planning and future-oriented decision-making.

The advancement of bio- and circular economy technologies helps drive sustainable business growth.

The regional bio- and circular economy technology vision supports companies in the Kymenlaakso region in building the capabilities needed to adopt and develop bio- and circular economy technologies.

In practice, this involves enhancing companies’ ability to learn, innovate, and integrate new technologies and operating models into their activities. The pilot activities took place in Xamk’s research environments and were tailored to the specific needs of the participating companies.
