DiTek – Productivity, growth and competitiveness for businesses through the adoption of digital technologies
The DiTek project is designed to boost the competitiveness and growth of technology and manufacturing companies in the Mikkeli region by harnessing the power of digitalization and emerging technologies. Led by Mikkeli Development Company Miksei Ltd, and carried out in collaboration with South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk, the initiative brings together regional expertise to drive innovation and sustainable business development.
The project provides companies with hands-on opportunities to develop and test software-based prototypes and pilot solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented/extended reality (AR/XR).
Empowering Businesses through Digital Innovation and Collaborative Development
The DiTek project aims to accelerate business growth, productivity, competitiveness, export potential, and RDI capabilities by introducing cutting-edge digital technologies to companies. It supports businesses in increasing awareness and expertise in emerging technologies, as well as in piloting and adopting them.
Running from 2025 to 2027, DiTek strengthens South Savo companies with digital technologies, RDI capabilities and global growth potential.
Through co-creation workshops, the project showcases promising technologies tailored for manufacturing companies and explores practical applications. Tools and networks such as AI Finland and the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) help companies expand internationally.
Businesses are invited to experiment with software-based prototypes, including AI, robotics, and AR/XR technologies. Co-creation methods like hackathons and development sprints offer companies a chance to collaborate with regional digital experts. Prototypes developed during the project can be further refined through RDI partnerships and funding solutions, with the goal of launching joint development projects.
Project communications include podcasts, videos, articles, and events aimed at a broad target audience.
