In the first five months of the year, a total of 725 professionals have graduated from Xamk
Graduates from Xamk represent a wide range of fields and will go on to contribute to and develop various sectors of our society. The busiest period of the spring graduation season is always in May and June. In previous years, the number of graduates during the first half of the year has exceeded 1,100, and according to current forecasts, that number is expected to be surpassed this year.
Xamk will host a graduation ceremony for all students who graduated during the winter and spring on Thursday, May 22. The event will take place at the Kotka campus, where all graduates are warmly invited to enjoy graduation coffee and meet fellow graduates.
The ceremony will also be streamed live on Xamk’s Instagram Live. The event begins at 3:00 PM, both on-site and online.
The program includes a speech by Heikki Saastamoinen, CEO and President of Xamk, reflections from graduates on their studies and graduation, and a musical performance by Flourish Wealth, a student at Xamk. The event will be hosted by Marita Snellman, also a student at Xamk.

The names of the graduates are published monthly on Xamk’s website and shared with the media. Graduation ceremonies are held twice a year – in spring and at the end of the year – at one campus at a time. The events alternate between the South Savo campuses (Mikkeli and Savonlinna) and the Kymenlaakso campuses (Kotka and Kouvola). During the ceremonies, scholarships are also awarded to distinguished students.
