ReseptiRobotti

– More Efficient Product Development with the Help of Published Information

A prototype of a digital tool will be developed to enhance the material flow and to increase the value of side streams. The tool enables the usage of research data of low-carbon concrete and textile waste. This data in form of a recipe can then be utilized by the project´s target groups.

ReseptiRobotti in short

There is a clear lack of circular economy-based products on the market, to which companies processing side and waste streams could sell the materials they produce, and which public actors could tender and buy. The implementation of scientific research results and information contained in patents on a large scale for companies to utilize has been identified as a key factor for the large-scale emergence of new innovations and thus for the efficient implementation of circular economy business and the green transition.

The goal of the ReseptiRobotti project is to enhance the transition to a carbon-neutral circular economy by developing a nationally significant and easily scalable digital tool for increasing the circulation and reuse of materials and increasing the value of side streams. With the help of the tool, the fragmented and often difficult to interpret information in individual publications is made available and utilized by a large number of users in an understandable form, and thus enables SMEs to create and productize circular economy innovations.

Several digital data processing and modeling methods as well as practical material expertise and testing environments are utilized in the development of the tool. Low-carbon concrete and the utilization of textile waste have been selected as case examples of the first phase, around which the development work carried out in this project is focused.

Horizontal principles, gender equality and equality are taken into account throughout the project. The project follows Xamk’s equality plan. The main theme of the project is sustainable development, all aspects of which are considered in the operations.
