Tailored Work Project
Project helps companies to develop and increase the range of means to cope with and extend working careers through tayloring the work. The project will provide solutions to respond to labour shortages in South Savo in the Eastern part of Finland.

The Aim of the Project
Job tailoring refers to work that in one way or another is adapted to the reduced working capacity and reduced resources of an employee. The management of the companies will be committed to prevent, support and maintain workability in every stage of career. Tailor-made work model is build from the companies’ own perspective.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with companies in South Savo. The cooperation network includes e.g. Kyyhkylän Kartano, Norelco Oy, Pro-Tot Oy, Ramin Konditoria Kahvila Oy, Sahanlahti Resort, Vaiha Oy, and Veisto Oy.
The project will launch also general contents and trainings for all the companies.

The Main Measures of the Project
- Co-operation with companies to identify needs for the competence and development activities of workability management. (in Finnish)

- General Tailored Work Model and Open Training Package for developing Tailored Work Model. (partially in English)

TAILORED WORK, OPERATIONAL MODELS
International co-operation
Prof. Dr. Regina Kempen from Aalen University of Applied Sciences, Germany visited Renewing Working Life (Uudistuva työelämä team) and Tailored Work Project (Räätälöity Työ -hanke) and had a talk on “Psychological Perspectives on Sustainability at Work: Boundary Dynamics, CSR Perceptions, and Green Behavior at Work”.
The lecture explored Regina Kempen’s psychological research on sustainability in the workplace.
Regina Kempen is a professor for Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology at Aalen University of Applied Sciences.
