Stakeholder Services Connect Experts, Businesses and the University of Applied Sciences

The Unit’s Core Mission and Service Offering
The Stakeholder Services unit coordinates and develops Xamk’s partnerships, working life connections within education, alumni cooperation and customer relationship management. The unit acts as a coordinating interface between stakeholders and Xamk, aiming to identify stakeholder needs and find the most suitable solutions and experts from within Xamk.
In addition, the unit provides high-quality media services, develops user-centred digital solutions and strengthens interactive visibility, particularly across social media channels. The unit’s services can be offered and sold nationwide.
The service offering enables a centralised response to customer needs, while also supporting Xamk’s own operations in a consistent and impactful manner.
The unit’s clients include SMEs, larger organisations and associations that contribute to the vitality and development of the region.
Building Cooperation and Supporting Working Life
Xamk aims to make cooperation as clear and straightforward as possible for companies and organisations. Stakeholder Services supports collaboration from start to finish and plays a key role in launching new forms of cooperation with working life. The unit can also be contacted when the starting points or direction of cooperation are still being explored.
Companies and organisations are supported in a variety of ways, for example by facilitating encounters between employers and talent, enabling different forms of student collaboration, and supporting community-based activities such as event production.
The Stakeholder Services unit acts as a bridge between Xamk and working life. We listen carefully to our clients’ needs and direct them to the right experts. At the same time, we bring the latest educational insights and RDI expertise from Xamk’s various fields into the use of working life.
We actively communicate Xamk’s voice externally, but above all, we ensure that valuable information and signals from working life flow back into the organisation.
By helping companies find the right experts and offering impactful services, active dialogue with working life creates opportunities that no one could build alone.

Impact and Community
The unit’s most visible annual event is the Work Life Boom, organised on each campus, bringing together employers and students at a regional level. Each year, the event gathers around 50 representatives from working life to meet students.
The event has been organised since 2017 and has taken its current format since 2022. Known as a low-threshold meeting place, feedback from participants has been positive.
Especially among companies, the event is regarded as an important multidisciplinary platform where they can offer students job and internship opportunities and deepen cooperation with Xamk in various ways.
For students, the event provides valuable connections with companies on each campus. When asked about the benefits of the event, summer jobs and networking are highlighted most often. At best, the event may lead to employment opportunities or a thesis topic.
The demand for Work Life Boom has grown significantly, and further discussions are currently underway on developing the event into an even broader concept that better serves students.
