Entrance examinations
Xamk is involved in the International UAS Exam, a joint digital entrance exam of the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS). Some programmes at Xamk arrange their own entrance exams or interviews.
Autumn 2026 intake
- The following degree programmes at Xamk are involved in the International UAS Exam in the Joint application:
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Analytics
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Digital International Business
- Bachelor of Hospitality Management, Tourism and Hospitality Business
- Bachelor of Engineering, Bioproduct Technology
- Bachelor of Engineering, Efficient Supply Chain Management
- Bachelor of Engineering, Information Technology
- Bachelor of Engineering, Water Technology and Sustainability
- Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing (Kotka and Savonlinna)
- Student selection is based on entrance examination points. Online entrance examination consists of two parts. The minimum score for a passed examination: 50/100 points. Every given task must be completed successfully. In addition, English language skills are assessed in the exam.
- Part 1: Instructions are sent out to all applicants by email on 28 January 2026 at the latest.
- Online entrance examination dates 29 January – 2 February 2026.
- Part 2: Applicants with the best points of Part 1, will be invited by email.
- The second part of the examination is an online entrance examination on 3 March 2026.
- The student selection is based on a pre-material and an interview.
- English language skills are assessed in the interviews.
- The invitations for the interviews will be sent to eligible applicants.
- The invitation email includes the pre-material which is used in the interviews.
- The interviews are organised online, detailed information will be given in an invitation email.
- Student selection is based on a pre-task and an interview.
- English language skills are assessed in the exam.
- Pre-task dates 29 January – 2 February 2026, instructions are sent out to applicants on 28 January 2026 at the latest.
- The interviews are organised online 10 March 2026, detailed information will be given in an invitation email.
Individual arrangements
You may request individual arrangements for entrance examinations on particular grounds. Individual arrangements can be granted for the International UAS Exam.
Requests concerning the International UAS Exam must be submitted to the university of applied sciences/study programme using the International UAS Exam that is first on your application form. The request for individual arrangements must be submitted by 28 January 2026, 3 pm Finnish time.
You are notified of the granted arrangements by email. The announcement on individual arrangements for the entrance exam is exam-specific and valid only in that particular entrance exam.
Requests for individual arrangements sent after the deadline are processed only in acute, exceptional cases. Individual arrangements cannot be granted if the request is submitted too late, with regard to the timetable of the entrance examination, or individual arrangements are otherwise deemed impossible to arrange.
After you have got the final admission results in joint application, you can request adjustment to the decision on individual arrangement as a part of student selection appeal procedure.
Be prepared to present original certificates at the start of the studies if you are admitted. Information on the health of the applicant is confidential (Article 24 of Act on the Openness of Government Activities).
