At Xamk, our Bachelor of Health Care in Nursing program equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for a successful career in nursing.
This program is designed for those who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and are capable of making independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Our nursing graduates are prepared to work in a variety of settings, including hospital wards, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, operating theatres, intensive care units, home health care, rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes.
The program also meets the standards of the European Union Directive for Registered Nurses, ensuring that our graduates are well-qualified to work across the EU.

Two different Nursing degree programmes
Xamk offers both a Degree Programme in Nursing and a Degree Programme in Nursing (Top up).
If you do not have a previous nursing degree but would like to study for a nursing degree and acquire the Finnish language skills needed in the workplace, your choice is the Degree Programme in Nursing.
However, if you have already obtained nursing qualifications in your home country, you can choose the Degree Programme in Nursing (Top up). In this programme, you will earn a Finnish nursing degree and learn the Finnish language skills required in the workplace.

Master’s Degree Programme in Advanced Practice Nursing in Acute Care
The Master’s degree programmes at Xamk are designed to deepen your professional expertise and support your development into an advanced-level specialist or leader in your field.
