A summer job is a good opportunity to gain work experience, learn about Finnish working life and make new contacts. This list contains a few essential tips for applying for summer jobs in South Savo — and why not elsewhere, too.

Where can I find open job positions?

In Finland, many open jobs are published on websites. Check these pages:

Tip! If you have been in an internship, hobby activity, or volunteer work, ask about job opportunities from those places. Also ask your network if someone knows about a job that could suit you.

Show your skills

All of us have a lot of skills. Whether you gained them in Finland or elsewhere, they are still your skills. So, mention experience gained outside Finland as well.

Language skills are also important in working life. Bring out your language abilities openly and realistically. If you are still studying Finnish, mention that in your application.
