Digitalia promotes responsible digitalization through multidisciplinary research, development, and innovation activities. We develop sustainable digital solutions based on expertise in information management. Our research supports the use of data via new technologies and the creation of novel digital business models. We contribute to ecosystems and develop research environments.
Digitalia is a joint research centre of South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk), the University of Helsinki, and the National Library of Finland, established in 2015. In 2025, Xamk’s Digital Business research group also joined Digitalia, further strengthening the connection between our research and the regional business community.
