Xamk and Finnish Supervisory Agency’s Preparedness Unit Launch Cooperation
The newly signed agreement enables joint training and exercise activities between Xamk’s European Logistics Institute (ELI) and the Finnish Supervisory Agency. It covers the planning, preparation and delivery of shared training activities.
The agreement also aims to support education that strengthens national comprehensive security.
“We are very pleased to have signed this agreement. It will help us move forward with both our ongoing and future projects. We look forward to working together on new initiatives,” says Vesa Vainio, ELI Director.
Preparations for the cooperation began last autumn.
“The idea for cooperation emerged during the KAAKKO25 exercise organised by the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland in autumn 2025,” Vainio explains.
The cooperation already took its first practical steps in spring 2026, with ELI contributing as a co-provider to the preparatory training for the Finnish Supervisory Agency’s 2026 national preparedness exercise.
