Xamk’s Worklife Boom Takes Place in January
For companies, these events are an excellent opportunity to offer jobs or internships, which is an important part of the event for students as well. During the days, networking takes place in many ways, and students get to present their skills to companies. Topics for theses and projects are also sought and found.
Events have been organized since 2017.
“Xamk’s Working Life Boom events have become an established meeting point where companies and students connect. These events are part of long-term cooperation with businesses, bringing networking and collaboration between education and industry to a concrete level. This year, more than 50 companies have registered,” says Pekka Pulkkinen, Head of Stakeholder Services at Xamk.
Campus Profiles on Display
All events are multidisciplinary meeting points featuring companies from various sectors. At the same time, they reflect the educational offerings of Xamk’s campuses: Kotka highlights logistics and maritime studies, Mikkeli focuses on technology and the wellbeing sector and Kouvola emphasizes urban development, innovation, and services. In Savonlinna, instead of Working Life Days, a broader event concept will be tested in the form of Recruitment Fair, organized together with Samiedu.
