Exchange studies

The focus of studies is in culture related courses. You can apply for the autumn term, spring term or the whole academic year. A full 30 ECTS / semester is not available in each design field, and spaces are limited in each course. The main tuition language is Finnish for the culture courses. However, instruction in English is provided when needed.

Course lists for exchange students

The name at the end of each list is the responsible person, who will sign the learning agreements/study plans. Please add the name of the person who is responsible for the department where you choose most courses.
You can choose courses from several departments. However, be aware that there then most likely will be timetable conflicts.

Game design is taught fully in English.
Other study lines are taught in Finnish, and then extra instructions are given in English.

For course descriptions please visit our Study Guide. You can search for the courses by using the code or the name of the course.

Xamk reserves the right to make changes in the detail of the curriculum. The changes might deal with the teachers, titles, contents, duration, depth, and timing of the courses. The purpose of the changes would be to guarantee the most suitable and flexible study schedule for the Students.

Please be aware that there are limited places for exchange students in the design department!
