Meaningful, youth-oriented participation
Juvenia’s developer-experts carry out local, national, and international research and development projects that are connected to multidisciplinary youth research, as well as the development and evaluation of youth services and youth sector methods.
The special features of expert work are essentially about being on the side of youth, but not speaking on behalf of young people. The aim is to strengthen young people’s own voices and belief in the future, especially by emphasizing co-researcher roles and youth agency in their everyday lives.
Research-based development
Juvenia´s operation aims to combine research and development to serve each other. Expertise provides a framework for a versatile expert discussion, and the opportunity to react to the phenomena of the time.
Youth sector and youth service development is done together with a wide network of stakeholders, which includes, for example, municipalities, ministries, and research organizations.
Eastern Finland Youth Barometer
Juvenia regularly conducts an extensive eastern Finland Youth Barometer, to produce information on the well-being, values and attitudes of young people in eastern Finland.
The target group of the eastern Finland Youth Barometer (Northern Karelia, Northern Savonia, Southern Savonia) are youngsters of 15-25 years of age in educational institutions, from the 9th class of secondary schools to institutions and universities.
