Building cluster competence development in South-Savo

In RAKES 2020 project, planning and implementation of enterprise-oriented specific training to improve the competence and competitiveness of companies in the construction cluster of Southern Savo will be conducted.

The project identifies the building industry’s competence needs and plans new learning paths and training content (e.g. industrial wood construction, building technology / building automation, renovation and other special construction) based on the needs. One of the goals is to increase the engineering and technology expertise of construction companies in South Savo, especially in the field of industrial wood construction and automation technology.

The project also creates a roadmap for regional development of know-how in the field of digitalisation, automation and building of energy and environmentally efficient construction industry in cooperation with companies, educational institutions and other stakeholders (ELY Center, Businesses, Construction Industry).

The project is funded mainly by the European Union’s Sustainable Growth and Jobs 2014-2020 – the Finnish Structural Funds Program.
