OBJECTIVES

The aim of the project is to build new cost-effective, low emission logistics drone-logistics services by implementing co-creation workshops, practical test-flight series, and operation and environmental analysis.

ACTIONS

The project creates a base for implementing drone-logistics on a larger scale to the logistics services of the city. By replacing road transport in small scale transport, the new services reduce carbon emissions and congestion on the roads.

RESULTS

Newly created service models support the generation of a new business to the area. The project is collateral to a similar project implemented in North-Finland, which is coordinated by Oulu University of Applied Sciences. These two projects have certain similar activities to enable a comparison between different areas in Finland.
