CENTRE OF EXPERTISE OF MUNICIPAL YOUTH WORK

THE AIM IS TO PROMOTE THE AWARENESS AND QUALITY OF YOUTH WORK

The Centre of Expertise serves, researches, and develops youth work in municipalities as a consortium. The main tasks are to strengthen youth workers competence and network cooperation, produce and share information about municipal youth work, and develop and model the quality assessment of municipal youth work.

JUVENIA PRODUCES INFORMATION

Juvenia observes at youth work in municipalities with a small population in the Youth Policy Framework. Research topics arise from current phenomena in youth work, to which efforts are made to respond quickly by means of predictive information production. The aim is to produce information that supports youth work information management and strengthens awareness of youth work. Information is produced primarily to support education and decision-making.

SIX ORGANISATIONS IN THE CENTRE OF EXPERTISE

Youth Research and Development Centre Juvenia is the co-implementor of the Centre of Expertise of Municipal Youth Work. Other organisations in the Centre of Expertise managed by Kanuuna in the city of Lahti are the Finnish Youth Research Society, the City of Oulu administered Koordinaatti, MIELI Mental Health Finland and EHYT Finnish Associatoin for Substance Abuse Prevention.
