The project aims to create a new university level rail transportation education for the needs of companies. Rail
transport opening of the competition and the entry of new operators into the market will change the need of
educational sector. Current education has been limited due to competitive reasons and has not served the rail traffic
sector as whole.
The project aims to ensure a skilled workforce in the future rail transport field, and to increase rail traffic attractiveness
and competitiveness.
Rail traffic training is planned and implemented during the project as a pilot, of which a participant feedback will be
collected.
The result of the project is a rail transportation training package relevant to working life, which can be integrated into
the University of Applied Sciences continuing training provision and, where applicable, into part of the degree studies
in business and logistics
