Content of studies

Are you interested in tackling critical issues like water scarcity and pollution with innovative solutions, using cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices?

Studies in Water technology and sustainability give you a hands-on experience with environmental sampling, laboratory techniques, preparing you for real-world challenges. You will learn causes, consequences and prevention of environmental problems.

The growing need to safeguard clean environment, sustainable development and tackle the water-related risks and problems demands more and more water technology and sustainability experts. This ensures diverse job opportunities.

Studies in Water technology and sustainability provide you a journey through themes covering natural science to specializing in water and environmental monitoring, finding sustainable solutions and modelling the real-world scenarios.

During your studies you can get familiar with e.g.:

  • water and environmental management
  • measuring, sampling and monitoring techniques
  • modelling and data analysis

The language of instruction is English and lectures
are taught on Mikkeli Campus.

Modes of mobility

Exchange studies

Studies are focused on Water and environmental management, circular economy and sustainable practices. You can apply for the autumn term, spring term or the whole academic year.

It is possible to complete 30 ECTS credits or more/semester. Language of instruction is English.

Double degree studies not available

Online Learning Agreement (OLA) for Erasmus+ applicants

As an applicant you need to prepare the Online Learning Agreement according to your home institution’s guidelines. If your home institution is not using OLA, please upload the fully signed Erasmus+ Learning agreement as PDF to your SoleMOVE application.
