Application form and admission criteria on Studyinfo

Application period 3-17 January 2024 (3 pm Finnish time, UTC +2).
Deadline for attachments 24 January 2024 (3 pm Finnish time UTC +2).

Language requirements: language certificates are required for admission based on the International UAS Exam. This concerns all the programmes listed above except Game Design, Rehabilitation and Naprapathy, for which the language skills are evaluated in the programme’s own entry exam.

 

Entrance exams in February-March 2024.

SAT test result to be delivered by 1 April 2024. Admission based on SAT possible for engineering/technology programmes.

Admission results published gradually during March – May 2024. 

  • Admitted students receive an offer of admission by email when the result has been published.
  • All applicants receive a notice of result by email on 31 May 2024 at the latest.

Offer of admission to be accepted and full tuition fee paid by 11 July 2024 (by 3 pm Finnish time UTC +3). To qualify for the Early Bird scholarship, the offer of admission is to be accepted within one week from the admission notice and tuition fee paid within three weeks from the admission notice. Exact deadlines are given in the offer of admission.

Admissions from the waiting lists end on 30 July 2024 (3 pm Finnish time UTC +3). Note: waiting lists may not be used in all programmes or they may be used for a limited time period.

Studies begin in August 2024.

Available programmes:

  • Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing, full-time studies, Savonlinna campus

SAT test result delivered to Xamk from the test organiser (CollegeBoard) by 13 March 2024 22 March 2024 (extended deadline). Other selection methods are not used in the Direct application.

How to apply to Xamk with your SAT test result

Language requirements: language skills are confirmed based on SAT test result. Other language certificates are not required.

Admission results published by 27 March 2024. 

  • Admitted students receive an offer of admission by email when the result has been published.
  • All applicants receive a notice of result by email.

Offer of admission to be accepted and full tuition fee paid by 11 July 2024 (by 3 pm Finnish time UTC +3). The Early Bird scholarship is available according to deadlines given in the offer of admission.

Studies begin in August 2024.

Admission process

Comparing study options in Finland

Studyinfo service provides information on all higher education study programmes in Finland. In Joint Application, you can apply to several study programmes and universities and universities of applied sciences with one application form. Note that you cannot change the study programmes or the order of them after the application has closed.

Eligibility for higher education studies

You can apply for the bachelor’s studies with upper secondary school level qualification that provides eligibility for higher education studies in the country in question, or with a prior bachelor’s or master’s degree. If you are graduating during the application process, you can apply with a temporary certificate.

Required documents of eligibility by country

For the master’s studies, you need a suitable higher education degree and at least two years of subsequent work experience in the relevant field.

The student selection in degree programmes in English may be based on entry exams, SAT or GMAT test results or prior qualification certificates. Check the programme-specific selection methods on Studyinfo or on our website.

Tuition fees

If you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA country, you might be required to pay tuition fees for the studies conducted in English. Check your liability to pay before applying.

Application form

Submit your application on Studyinfo service. A link to the application form can be found on the front page of Studyinfo and on the programme descriptions during the application period. Note that the application closes on the last application day at 3 pm Finnish time. You are only allowed to submit one application form in a joint application.

You are asked to provide information about your personal details, email address, educational background and in some cases, work experience on the application form.

Changing the application

You can make changes to your application form

  • through a link in the confirmation email sent to your email address after submitting the application form, or
  • through My Studyinfo service, if you have online banking codes from a bank in Finland, a Finnish mobile certificate or Finnish electronic ID-card
  • by contacting the Admission Services.
Required documents

Attach the necessary documents to the application (a good quality color scan or photo of the document). Check the timetable and the list of required documents.
