The tuition fee for one academic year is paid in one instalment, it is generally not possible to pay the fee in parts.
For the degree programmes beginning in January, the fee is paid for the first semester separately (50% of the full fee), after which the academic year timeline (full fee, 2 semesters) is followed. Please note that the Early Bird scholarship is not available in the autumn application rounds (Joint Application or separate applications).
There are two alternative ways to pay the tuition fee:
The Admission Services sends you an email to confirm the received tuition fee payment. Your student status as an attending student is then automatically registered.
Select the payment option you want to use from the menu below, and find links for the electronic payment and for the invoice order.
Pay your tuition fee in full by selecting your programme from the list below.
You can pay the fee either for one semester (studies beginning in January) or two semesters (studies beginning in August).

PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC REFUND INSTRUCTIONS
The Early Bird scholarship is a 50% discount on the tuition fee of the first study year at Xamk.
You can get the Early Bird scholarship if you:
In order to qualify for the scholarship, you must follow the deadlines given in the offer of admission.
If you do not follow the given deadlines, you will lose the scholarship. You can still enrol for the studies by paying the full tuition fee (9 700 euro / 11 500 euro) by 14 July 2023.
The Early Bird scholarship is available during limited time period in spring application round.
The Early Bird scholarship does not concern degree programmes beginning in January or double degree programmes.
During the studies, you can apply for a scholarship after each study year. You qualify for the scholarship by progressing in the studies well.
You are offered at least 60 ECTS credits of studies per academic year (1 August – 31 July). If you complete 55 ECTS credits during the academic year (1 August - 31 July), you can apply for a scholarship based on completed studies. The application must be submitted by 31 July 2024.
The scholarship during the studies is worth 50% of the paid tuition fee. The scholarship is paid in euros, separately to student’s own bank account and the amount of the scholarship cannot be deducted from the tuition fee of the next academic year.
If you qualify for the scholarship based on study progress, you can also apply for an additional scholarship on the basis of studies you have completed in Finnish language and culture during the academic year. The scholarship on Finnish language and culture studies does not concern Master’s programmes.
Instructions for continuing students are available on Lux intranet.
The scholarship can only be paid in euros to your own bank account. The amount of the scholarship cannot be deducted from the tuition fee of the next academic year.
Most convenient, inexpensive and quickest way to receive the scholarship payment is to have your own bank account with International Bank Account Number (IBAN) for the scholarship application. The bank account should be located in an EU or EEA country, or in one of the following countries: Andorra, San Marino, Switzerland, or Vatican (countries suitable for SEPA payments).
In addition, you are recommended to provide a Finnish personal ID code for the scholarship payments during your studies. You can request for a Finnish personal ID code on residence permit application to Finland. Please see more information on Finnish Immigration Services website.
If you don’t have a residence permit in Finland at the time of the scholarship payment (e.g. studies have been completed online from outside Finland), the scholarship payment can be made to other than IBAN bank account and in this case the Finnish personal ID number is not required.
Tuition fee is to be paid annually before the beginning of the academic year:
The scholarship application is submitted annually after each academic year. The application can be submitted as soon as the requirements are met but by 31 July at the latest.
