My name is Tatiana Yurova, I am 21 years old. I came from Moscow and this September I started my studies in XAMK. My program is Hospitality Management and in my home university I study Restaurant Management too.

I have already finished a college as a technologist of food industry. When I entered to my university (Russian International Academy for Tourism) I decided to get 2 diplomas: Russian and European.

I like an approach to education in Finland.

One day we had presentation with teachers of XAMK. It was the first time I thought about going to study a double degree. I was very glad that here I have the same subjects as in Moscow. I always wanted to have a chance to live abroad so this was a good opportunity which I couldn’t lose.

Honestly, I find studying here very interesting, much more interesting that I’ve ever known before. I like an approach to education in Finland. It is very different than our Russian approach.

I can’t say I’m enthusiastic of local weather, but it seems I start to adjust. Almost all finish houses have saunas and so, it’s okay. To tell the truth, I don’t feel myself like so far away from home here, because the nature looks the same like in Russia.

I would like to associate my life with hotel and restaurant business. I have a dream to open my own hotel chain all over the world. I like to travel and I want that people could have more places to stay and rest. And I want to do all I can for this!
